Purpose

To develop the highly specialized skills and knowledge in the areas of subsea umbilical controls testing operations during pre-commissioning & commissioning.

This online course is structured for subsea design engineers working as subsea umbilical engineer, subsea pipeline engineer, subsea risers engineer, SURFs engineer, reliability engineers, integrity engineers,project engineers etc. Subsea Umbilical, Controls Testing and Pre-Commissioning Engineering & Operations (SUPEO) Level 1 & Level 2 is structured to bridge the needed knowledge gap at beginner’s to intermediate level.

Course Objectives

The objective of SUPEO Level 1 is to provide engineers and operators with a comprehensive understanding of subsea umbilical controls testing and pre-commissioning, enabling them to contribute effectively to the testing, inspection, and verification processes during the installation and commissioning of subsea control systems.

The objective of SUPEO Level 2 is to further develop the skills and knowledge of engineers and operators in subsea umbilical controls testing and pre-commissioning, allowing them to tackle complex engineering challenges and optimize the performance of control systems through advanced testing methodologies, troubleshooting techniques, and risk assessment.

Both levels of SUPEO aim to equip participants with the necessary expertise to ensure the functionality, integrity, and reliability of subsea control systems by providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct testing, pre-commissioning activities, and troubleshooting in compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Participant underpinning knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning of subsea umbilical control system will be accessed with short answer multiple-choice questionnaire including function testing of critical umbilical components at the conclusion of the course.

Outcome

Participants will gain an in debt understanding of Subsea Umbilical, Controls Testing and Pre-Commissioning Engineering & Operations at Level 1 & Level 2. They will also be able to function with minimum supervision as Subsea Umbilical Engineer for IOCs, vendor or installation company.
