Chess Subsea Engineering is an international engineering, project management and project controls company founded in 2013, supporting the renewable energy, power, offshore, subsea, marine and oil & gas sectors globally. We provide on-site, remote and virtual professional services across the full project lifecycle, including engineering support, project planning and scheduling, project controls, project management, NEC4 contract management, cost and risk management, delay analysis, programme assurance, technical manpower support, training and research & development. Our core technical capabilities cover renewable energy and power infrastructure, offshore and subsea engineering, marine operations and conventional energy projects. This includes offshore wind developments, subsea HVDC cable installation, onshore and offshore HVDC converter stations, HV and EHV cable systems from 11 kV to 400 kV, substations from 33 kV to 400 kV, subsea production systems, pipelines, risers, umbilicals, FPSO developments, LNG projects, drilling units and offshore construction support.

Offshore Wind & Renewable Energy

 

We support offshore wind and renewable energy developments from early-stage planning through construction and commissioning, including offshore transmission systems, grid connections and associated power infrastructure.

Subsea HVDC Cable Installation

 

We provide planning, project controls and project management support for subsea HVDC export cable projects, including marine installation, cable lay, landfall activities, jointing, testing and interface coordination.

HVDC Converter Stations

Our services support both offshore and onshore HVDC converter station projects, including engineering coordination, procurement planning, construction sequencing, commissioning interfaces and programme controls.

Substations & Grid Infrastructure

 

We provide project delivery support for substations from 33 kV to 400 kV, including switching substations, grid substations, step-up and step-down substations, protection and control systems, and associated grid connection infrastructure.
