To provide to the student the knowledge and skills required for Assistant Driller position and perform the assigned tasks safely and efficiently.

Job Description For An Assistant Driller

Large oil companies install oil rigs in order to extract natural gas and oil from deepwater deposits. Assistant drillers have the work responsibility of directing a work crew of “roughnecks” on offshore oil rigs. Roughnecks perform most of the manual labour in maintaining drilling equipment and extracting hydrocarbons. According to Oil Rig Job International, assistant drillers earn an average salary of $52,000 to $63,000 Per Annum.

Purpose

Accelerated Assistant Driller Training Programme (AADTP) Level 1 to Level 3 is structured for graduates, drilling engineers, well completion engineers, petroleum engineers, well engineers & drilling technicians.

Entry Qualification

OND, HND Bsc from a reputable school. Experience candidates with O’level will be considered.

Deepwater Subsea BOP Control Systems & Marine Risers (DSBOPCSMR) Level 1 & Level 2 was well taught and presented to me showing me how to install BOP stack, System, component and their functionality such as MUX Control System (MCS), Remote Operational Vehicle (ROV), Pipe Ram, Shear Ram, Hydraulic Control Accumulator, Subsea Control System and more.I want use this opportunity to appreciate the entire Chess Subsea Engineering Team for organizing such training a time like this. The administrative section was excellent. Well done sirs and keep up the good work.

"Liquefied Natural Gas Engineering Production Processes (LNGEPP) Level 1 & Level 2 was well taught and well presented. The slide arrangement was sequential to the processes. I learnt how NG is formed, developed, extracted, the process of gathering, processing, storing and transporting. Various equipment used to achieve a pure CH4 were well explained. Equipment such as Scrubbers, Contactor towers, Heat exchangers, Separators in their types, Gas Compressors, Glycol unit etc. The storage and transportation and Regasification, dehydration, acid gas removal process, Nitrogen rejection and NGL recovery were well explained. The introduction and teaching on CNG and GTL processes was superb. The course was well set out. Very easy to understand if you are from an Engineering background. Thanks to Chess Subsea Engineering Team for coming up with a training of this kind. I really appreciate you guys, 5 Star thumbs up for you guys.
