Description
In terms of well operations and management, roustabouts play a critical role in ensuring that drilling and production operations run smoothly. They are responsible for assembling and disassembling equipment, maintaining rigging and drilling tools, and providing support to other members of the drilling team. Roustabouts also perform routine inspections and maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and can be used safely.
Additionally, roustabouts are often responsible for managing the movement and storage of materials and equipment at drilling sites. This involves coordinating with other members of the drilling team and following safety protocols to ensure that equipment is moved and stored safely.

Rousterabout Well Operations & Management (RWOM) Level 1 provides participants with an in-depth knowledge of drilling operations and safety applications tailored specific to working on a drilling rig or work providing a service or supply to the drilling industry. The training is a combination of instructor lecture, videos and rig training (land rig).

Upon completion of study, students are required to complete a 1 hour closed book final exam with a minimum pass mark of 70 percent

Professional Certificate
Issued directly by Chess Subsea Engineering Europe. IADC Level 1 certificate shall also be offered upon completion of course.
