Floorman Well Operations & Management (FWOM) Level 1

$1700.00 $450.00 exc VAT

Purpose

Floorman Well Operations & Management (FWOM) Level 1 is recommended for individuals who intend to stay and work hard in oilfield, the course is design to include drilling programs, hands-on rig training and industry safety programs. Life skills and job readiness will also be included during the program.

Training Mode: Online

Description

A floorman, also known as a roughneck, is a member of the drilling crew who is responsible for the day-to-day operations on the drilling rig. Well operations and management require the floorman to perform a range of duties, including:

Rig setup: The floorman is responsible for setting up the drilling rig and ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly. This involves assembling and installing various rig components, such as the mast, derrick, drill pipe, and blowout preventer (BOP).

Drilling operations: The floorman assists in the drilling process, which includes monitoring the drilling fluid, operating the drilling machinery, and tripping drill pipe in and out of the wellbore.

Maintenance: The floorman is responsible for maintaining and repairing drilling equipment and machinery, including performing routine checks on equipment, changing out worn or damaged parts, and ensuring that equipment is functioning properly.

Safety: The floorman plays a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment on the drilling rig. This involves following all safety procedures, identifying and reporting potential hazards, and participating in safety meetings and drills.

Recordkeeping: The floorman is responsible for maintaining accurate records of drilling operations, including daily activity reports, drilling logs, and equipment maintenance records.

Training: The floorman may be responsible for training new crew members and ensuring that all crew members are aware of and follow standard operating procedures.

Communication: The floorman is often the first point of contact for other members of the drilling crew and may be responsible for communicating drilling updates, equipment issues, and safety concerns to the drilling supervisor or other members of the crew.

Overall, the floorman plays a critical role in well operations and management, ensuring that the drilling rig is set up properly, equipment is functioning correctly, and drilling operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Floorman Well Operations & Management (FWOM) Level 1 provides an individual with an in-depth knowledge of drilling operations and safety applications tailored specific to working on a drilling rig or work providing a service or supply to the drilling industry. The training is a combination of instructor lecture, videos and rig training (land rig).
