Purpose

The purpose of SPCCEM Level 1 is to equip participants with the necessary competencies to understand and contribute to the engineering aspects of solar photovoltaics and charge controller systems. The master class provides a platform for professionals to enhance their expertise, foster innovation, and contribute to the growth of renewable energy through the utilization of solar PV technology.

SPCCEM Level 1 is designed for engineering, maths or science graduates who wish to develop a successful and rewarding career in solar photovoltaic energy sector. It will equip you with the multidisciplinary skills required to design, optimise and evaluate the technical and economic viability of this systems.

Alternatively, participant can specialise in managing solar photovoltaic renewable energy projects and systems, energy entrepreneurship and asset management.

Course Objectives

The objective of SPCCEM Level 1 is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of solar photovoltaics and charge controller engineering. Upon completion of this level, participants should possess the foundational knowledge and skills to design and analyze solar PV systems, select appropriate components, and understand the role of charge controllers in system optimization.

The training aims to develop participants’ knowledge and expertise in solar PV system design, module characteristics, and charge controller operations. Participants should gain a solid foundation to contribute to the development, installation, and maintenance of solar PV systems in various applications.

It provides participants with a foundational understanding of solar PV system design, components, and charge controller operations.

SPCCEM Level 1 covers a wide range of topics related to solar PV systems, including solar cell technologies, PV module characteristics, system sizing, performance analysis, and the role of charge controllers in regulating and optimizing energy flow.

Participants in SPCCEM Level 1 learn about the fundamental principles of solar energy conversion, the working principles of PV cells, and the design considerations for PV modules and arrays. They gain insights into system sizing and configuration to meet specific power requirements and maximize energy production.

The master class provides an overview of charge controllers, which play a crucial role in managing the charging and discharging of batteries and optimizing the performance of solar PV systems. They will also be able to function with minimum supervision as Solar Systems Engineers, Green Building Engineer, Energy Systems Engineer & Renewable Energy Engineer for IOCs & renewable enegy contractor, vendor or installation company.
