Course Purpose

The primary purpose of the OUWET Level 1 course is to provide subsea project engineers with a comprehensive understanding of the engineering principles, techniques, and project management aspects of underwater welding in offshore environments.

Offshore Underwater Welding Engineering & Techniques (OUWET) Level 2 is designed for Under Water Welders, Offshore Engineers, Subsea Engineers, Offshore Project Engineers & Offshore Installation Managers.

The OUWET Level 1 course provides comprehensive training on the engineering principles, techniques, and project management aspects of underwater welding in offshore environments.

This course covers the fundamental concepts of underwater welding, including welding procedures, equipment selection, diver safety, and quality control, as well as the challenges and considerations specific to offshore operations.

Participants will learn about different welding techniques used in underwater applications, such as dry hyperbaric welding and wet welding, and gain knowledge on the inspection and repair of subsea structures through theoretical lectures, practical exercises, and case studies.
