Description
The OUWET Level 1 course provides comprehensive training on the engineering principles, techniques, and project management aspects of underwater welding in offshore environments.
This course covers the fundamental concepts of underwater welding, including welding procedures, equipment selection, diver safety, and quality control, as well as the challenges and considerations specific to offshore operations.
Participants will learn about different welding techniques used in underwater applications, such as dry hyperbaric welding and wet welding, and gain knowledge on the inspection and repair of subsea structures through theoretical lectures, practical exercises, and case studies.
The Level 1 course focuses on introducing participants to the key aspects of project management related to offshore underwater welding, including planning, risk assessment, resource allocation, and cost control.
By the end of the Level 1 course, participants will have a solid foundation in underwater welding engineering and project management, enabling them to contribute effectively to subsea projects involving welding operations.
Underwater Welding Engineering & Project Management for Subsea Project Engineers (OUWET) Level 1 covers Underwater Welding Engineering & Techniques, Uses, Welder / Diver, Classification, Principle of Operation, Codes, Standards & Specifications, Characteristics of a Good Underwater Welding, Application of Underwater Welding, Underwater Welding Characteristics, Underwater Inspection, Risk, Safety & Future Developments and more
