Description
The OLSS Level 1 & Level 2 course provides comprehensive training on the principles, techniques, and project management aspects of offshore lifting operations for subsea structures.
This course covers the fundamental concepts of offshore lifting, including rigging, equipment selection, load calculations, safety considerations, and the unique challenges associated with lifting subsea structures.
Participants will learn about different lifting methods used in offshore environments, such as crane operations, ROV-assisted lifting, and subsea lift frames, through theoretical lectures, practical exercises, and case studies.
The Level 1 course focuses on introducing participants to the key aspects of project management related to offshore lifting, including planning, risk assessment, logistics coordination, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Level 2 builds upon the knowledge gained in Level 1 and delves into more advanced topics, such as advanced lifting techniques, dynamic positioning systems, and complex subsea structure installation and removal operations.
Offshore Lifting for Subsea Structures & Project Management (OLSS) Level 1 & Level 2 covers Module Lifting, Jacket Installation, Installation of Sub-sea Equipment etc.; Lifting in Air versus Sub-Sea Operations, Dynamic Lifting’s and Weather Window Statistics, Preparations for Offshore Lifting Operations, Different Phases of Subsea Structures Lifting i.e. Seafastening, Lift-off from deck Slewing, Overboarding Through, Splash Zone Landing Phase, Recovery to Deck and more.
OLSS Level 1 & Level 2 is designed to provide detailed knowledge of Offshore Lifting for Subsea Structures & Project Management and will assist those who are switching or enhancing their career in deep and ultra deepwaters subsea engineering.
