Introduction to Energy Technology and Operations Mechanism (IETOM) Level 1

$720.00 $350.00 exc VAT

Purpose

To equip you with the advanced knowledge and skills to develop a successful career in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.

Who should take this course?

IETOM Level 1 is designed for rising managers or mid-level executives in the energy industry who want to deepen and broaden their knowledge, professionals in coal, oil, or gas who wish to expand into clean energy topics, or professionals in other sectors such as finance, consulting, human resources, etc. who want to break into the energy sector. While this course will introduce some engineering concepts, it is designed for engineers and non-engineers alike.

Training Mode : Online (Only)

Description

Energy technology and operations mechanism refers to the processes and tools used to create, manage, and distribute energy from various sources. This includes traditional sources such as oil, gas, and coal, as well as renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal.

The mechanisms used in energy technology and operations vary depending on the source of energy being used. For example, fossil fuel-based energy generation typically involves extracting the fuel, transporting it to a power plant, burning it to generate heat, and using the heat to produce steam that drives turbines to generate electricity. Renewable energy generation, on the other hand, typically involves harnessing the power of natural resources such as sunlight, wind, or water to directly generate electricity through photovoltaic cells or turbines.

In addition to energy generation, energy technology and operations also encompass the distribution and storage of energy. This includes the development and maintenance of power grids and transmission lines that transport electricity from power plants to consumers, as well as the use of energy storage technologies such as batteries and pumped hydro storage to store excess energy for later use.

IETOM Level 1 course explores all the major aspects of Renewable Energy including Wind, Solar Thermal Energy, Solar, Wind Energy, Biomass, Hydro power.
