Purpose

To develop the highly specialized skills and knowledge in Gas to Liquid Technology at Level 1.

Gas to Liquid Technology for Graduate Engineers & Field Technicians (GTLGEFT) Level 1 is designed for Process Engineer, Chemical Engineers, Production Engineers, Petroleum Engineers & Technicians

Training Mode : Online (Only)

Description

Gas-to-liquid (GTL) technology refers to the process of converting natural gas, methane-rich gases or other gaseous hydrocarbons into liquid fuels or chemicals. This technology involves the use of a variety of processes such as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, methanol synthesis, and syngas conversion.

The primary advantage of GTL technology is that it enables the monetization of natural gas resources that would otherwise be stranded, as it is difficult or uneconomical to transport and sell natural gas from remote locations. GTL technology can also reduce the environmental impact of natural gas production by capturing and utilizing associated gases that would otherwise be flared or vented.

GTL technology can produce a range of products including diesel fuel, naphtha, and synthetic crude oil, which can be used in various applications such as transportation fuels, power generation, and industrial processes. However, GTL technology is capital-intensive and requires significant investment in equipment and infrastructure, which can make it less competitive than traditional oil refining processes in certain circumstances.

Gas to Liquid Technology for Graduate Engineers & Field Technicians (GTLGEFT) Level 1 covers GTL via Fischer-Tropsch (FT), Gas Pretreatment, Syngas Generation, Syngas Purification, Fitcher Tropsch Synthesis, Product Upgrading & Screening Criteria, Key considerations based on Economics, Gas Price, Capital Costs, Operating Costs, Commercialization Of Gas-to-liquid Technology Proprietary Nature of Technology & Licensing & Crude Pricing
