Purpose

The purpose of the Introduction to Offshore Wind Foundations for Graduate Engineers (IOFGE) Level 1 course is to provide graduate engineers with a comprehensive understanding of offshore wind foundations, enabling them to contribute effectively to offshore wind energy projects by gaining knowledge in foundation types, geotechnical considerations, structural design principles, and installation and operation techniques.

Course Objectives

The primary objective of the Introduction to Offshore Wind Foundations for Graduate Engineers (IOFGE) Level 1 course is to provide graduate engineers with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts and principles related to offshore wind foundations.

The course aims to familiarize participants with different types of offshore wind foundations, geotechnical considerations, structural design principles, and installation and operation techniques specific to offshore wind energy projects.

By completing the IOFGE Level 1 course, graduate engineers will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute effectively to offshore wind projects, including the ability to analyze foundation requirements, understand the interaction between foundations and the surrounding soil, and make informed decisions regarding foundation selection, design, and installation in the context of offshore wind energy.

Target Audience

This course is structured for civil or geotechnical graduate engineers working offshore as offshore engineers, offshore construction engineers, offshore geotechnical engineers, offshore structure engineers, reliability engineers, integrity engineers, project engineers and those considering switching careers into offshore foundation engineering. IOFGE Level 1 is structured to bridge the needed knowledge gap at beginner’s level.

Training Mode: Online via Live Webinar

Description
