Description
IOSPMBO Level 1 is a comprehensive training program designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of offshore single point mooring buoy operations, covering the basic principles, components, and procedures involved in the safe and efficient operation of single point mooring systems.
The training program provides participants with a foundational understanding of single point mooring buoys, including their design, installation, maintenance, and operational considerations in offshore environments.
IOSPMBO Level 1 covers essential topics such as buoy types, anchoring systems, mooring lines, fendering systems, riser arrangements, and offloading procedures, enabling participants to comprehend the key components and functions of single point mooring systems.
Participants will gain knowledge of safety protocols, industry regulations, and best practices related to single point mooring buoy operations, ensuring they have the necessary awareness to work in compliance with safety standards and mitigate potential risks.
Through interactive learning experiences, case studies, and practical exercises, IOSPMBO Level 1 allows participants to apply their knowledge and understanding of single point mooring buoy operations in realistic scenarios, fostering a deeper comprehension of the subject matter.

Assessment
Students underpinning knowledge of Instrumentation & Control will be assessed using questioning during the training and a short answer multiple-choice questionnaire at the conclusion of the course.
Outcome
By the end of the course, delegates will have an indebt understanding of offshore single point mooring bouy operations and interconnections, be able to recognize SBM architecture from field development perspective and understand how the equipment are specified, installed, used, and tested. They will also be able to function with minimum supervision as a Subsea Engineer, Offshore Field Technician or Offshore Engineer for IOCs, offshore SBM IMR contractors, vendor or installation company.
Professional Certificate
Issued directly by Chess Subsea Engineering Europe.
Participant may be presented for Offshore Petroleum Training Organization (OPITO) Certification.
